Ravel-me

This poor blog has gotten sadly neglected since I joined Ravelry. I have knit any number of gifts and am now working on a chullo and the second glove for P, a sweater and socks for me, a tunic for the baby and a scarf for the big girl.
I've finished a hat for the baby, a scarf for the husband and several baby gifts, including a dress, a sweater, and an argyle vest.
Obviously, I have commitment issues...

loser

I'm such a loser. I so wanted to have a pair of fingerless gloves with a mitten flap done for P before he went on his trip. I didn't even get one finished. I forget how much less time I have for my hobbies now that I have an infant again. Sure, after the kids are in bed, but who has the energy at that point? Not me. Heck, half the time, I'm not all that far behind them. I'm not ashamed to say I go to bed at 9:30 some nights.
Good news? He'll have some nice gloves when he gets back. Too bad it's September.

More baby things

Only this time for my own little one. I started a baby dress for M. Of course, actually getting it done is a challenge being that I'm actually caring for M as well as working full time again. Hard to find time to knit. Let's see--get up, feed M, shower, dress, hair/makeup, get L ready, breakfast, drop off L, go to work, work all day (with M, at least for the summer), pick up L, go home, feed M, make dinner (sometimes P makes it while I feed M), eat, bathe L, get her PJs on, tuck her in, feed M, put her to bed, collapse.
Yeah, no time for knitting. (sigh)

finished up

Finally finished up the baby gifts for my friends. I can't wait to see them all today and hand them out. I love having any excuse to knit. I probably should order some more yarn so I have some knitting to do while I'm on maternity leave myself...

Babies, babies everywhere

I swear the moon must have been in some sort of weird retrograde, in the seventh house, whatever, several months ago--(sorry, astrology just ain't my thing) because everywhere I look there are pregnant people. More of my friends are having babies in the spring than at any one time before. (All of us are due between April and June, except just one or two.)
That means I have lots of knitting to do. Hooray! Right now I'm working on the things for the three babies due to my lectionary group friends (that's a pastor's bible study group where we discuss texts for preaching if you're not familiar with that term). One is having twins (boy & girl) and the other is having a boy. It's the first kids for both couples. I feel like the matriarch, having my second. I've picked out two Debbie Bliss patterns for the boys and a DROPS design pattern for the little girl. My yarns are from Knit Picks, of course! (Though one skein was ordered from Elann because KP has absolutely NO white yarn right now. How odd is that?)
You can see my ravelry page here. I'll get pics of the yarns up as soon as they arrive (or shortly thereafter.) The patterns are already posted.
