Ribbit

Today I frogged a sock. Not because there was a mistake, or I didn't like it or the yarn wasn't right for the project. No, I frogged the sock because the yarn I was using to make it was a perfect match to my toddler's winter coat. I frogged that sock in the cause of mittens for my baby girl. How else was she going to go play in the snow without numbing her adorably chubby little fingers? No, it was for a good cause. And, gee, I guess this means I have to pick out new yarn to make those socks! ;)

New projects for fall

I am really excited about all the new things I'm working on. I'm 95% done with the baby's giraffe. Just needs a tail and horns and mane. (It's those stupid pom-poms; I'm avoiding them.) I'm working on socks using this yarn. And of course, there are about 5 others that I want to make socks from too! Love the self-striping yarn.
I am also working on this vest in the natural colorway.
I have plans for more baby toys soon, too. I have two friends due soon, one in Nov., one in Dec. Both are having their second, both are having boys, both already have daughters, both are friends from school. Love it!
Don't forget to check out my Ravelry page if you want to keep closer tabs on my knitting progress!

new projects

I'm working on, hmm, 4 or 5 things right now, some actively, some stuffed in bags. I've got a chulo on the needles for P, it's almost done. I'm knitting little pants for M, they're just started. I have a dress--that will now be a tunic--also for M, a little more than half done. Socks for me, low priority, and also a sweater for myself, again, low priority. Of course, I have everything logged over at Ravelry. I heart Ravelry!
