a few fewer UFOs

What have I finished in the last few months? Those fingerless mitts that I swore I'd finished and given away. Nope, they still needed a thumb on the last one. Finished that and gave them to my little sis who has RA *and* poor circulation so her hands are always icy.
Almost done with a pair of socks in a pattern called "Inlay".  These are the first pair I've ever done cuff down and while I didn't mind doing it that way, I prefer toe up. It just gets a slightly better fit. I think I'll start a pair of socks for DH--big yarn and big needles to make some hiking socks. Now to find the perfect yarn...

More new babies

Thankfully, none of them are for me! I'm so glad my friends are accommodating my love of knitting baby things though. I'm making this:
and this (only in a sweet shade of pink to which I will also add some ribbon to match):
for friends having babies any day now.

And I just finished up this:
(this is the actual one I made since I remembered to take a picture before I gave it away this time).
Since I'm not aware of anyone else expecting, I hope I can get back to some of the things I've been working on for myself.
Don't forget to go to my Ravelry page if you want to see what else I've done. (Scroll down for the link)

new projects

I finished up the bunny to send to a friend who had a baby back in november. I also did finish those mittens for my baby girl. They went perfectly with her coat and she loves to just wear them around, even in the house.
Started a pair of hand warmers for myself. Fingerless gloves really, but the fingers are one large hole, not individuals, that way I can wear them to type and it won't rub. They're in this really yummy deep aubergine color that I can't wait to finish up.
Also got back and did a few rows on the vest.
What's still in the UFO pile? A sweater, a scarf, a pair of socks. I think that's it right now. Five things on the needles? Yeah, that's about right. Maybe I'll start that hat... :)
